Hello! I'm Amy and I am an aspiring Makeup Artist and love all things beauty and skincare! I love writing product reviews and would love to become a YouTube Vlogger. For me, makeup is about having fun and bringing out the person you want to be and have the empowerment and confidence to achieve anything you desire.
✨This is my favourite from the Elnett range. This version gives a really good hold, whilst allowing your hair to be flexible so it does not look like your hair has been stuck to your head. It does not go crispy, even when using a lot of product. I would only buy this when it is on special offer, otherwise you could be spending over the odds. I use this when my hair is straight or curly and it holds whichever style well. I would buy again, only when on sale though!
✨Such a beautiful fragrance and a purse friendly price! The top notes are roses, which smells absolutely divine - I adore roses and this fragrance does not smell of ‘cheap rose’. The scent is extremely sophisticated and bold, exactly what I look for in a fragrance. It is very woody but feminine at the same time. I have never heard of this designer and brand before, but I will definitely be looking at more of his products. This is now going to be my go to fragrance on a daily basis!
✨I am a bit 50/50 on this product. On the one hand, I have the nude shades such as Toffee and Marshmallow which look absolutely beautiful. They stayed in place all day and didn’t make my lips feel dry. On the other hand, I have the shades Blueberry and a dark red one (can’t remember the name) which look absolutely stunning and the colours are really unusual. However, when wearing Blueberry, within the hour I had blue stains up my cheeks and chin! It also is extremely difficult to remove, even with an oil based cleanser and had blue lips the following day! Bit of a love/hate with this product!
✨This used to be my go to in heat defence styling for my hair. It protects your hair really well against blow drying and straightener damage, without making your hair look crispy. As I have oily and greasy hair, it didn’t affect that in any way and left my hair looking shiny minus the grease. I like the way it has the handle spray bottle, making it easy to do a 360 degree protect of your hair. Since using, my hair feels a lot less heat damaged and is silky and manageable. I have swapped to Superdrug’s version purely based on price and I will buy again if on offer.
✨I like this product, but it does feel like a bit of a waste of money. I say this because obviously each pad is individual and after one use, you just throw it away, whereas I would prefer to have something in a bottle which lasts longer. It does take off your makeup really well and also cleanses your makeup free skin well, which makes it perfect as part of a double cleanse routine. I did find the dots on the pad combined with the formula did help slough off the dead skin. I think the same results can be achieved with a Glycolic Toner with less wastage.
✨I bought this to help counteract the dark circles under my eyes and to firm them up slightly. It did nothing to help my dark circles and even after use for 2 months, I still saw no improvement. Granted, it did bring a lot of hydration to my eyes which felt nice and did counteract any puffiness if I had a late night previously. It also did feel nice and cool which definitely helps you feel a bit more awake. It didn’t really do much for my bags and I still had a very fine droop under my eyes. I have much better eye creams/gels for less than £15. Not for me unfortunately.
✨I have combination skin, so I thought this would be perfect for it and after hearing such great things about this Foundation, I managed to get hold of a 10 day sample. Throughout the day, it went extremely dry and patchy and made my skin look very rough. Also, on my oily nose and chin, it slid off my face halfway through the day. I did like the colour match and found it did initially look nice on my skin. For me, the coverage was not great, even when I tried to build it up to full coverage. On a separate note, I find Estée Lauder reps to be very rude, which also puts me off.
✨I’d seen this product doing the rounds on the internet and social media, so when I finally got my hands on it I was really excited! However, when I used it I was really disappointed, especially for the price tag of £25. I find the pigmentation is really poor and does not give a nice strong glow. I even tried scraping the top layer off, but this made no difference. I have much better Highlighters in a gold shade such as Sleek’s or Makeup Revolution’s for a fraction of the price. I really wanted to try the rose gold version but I’m not spending another £25 for a substandard product!
✨I use this in conjunction with L’oreal’s Low Shampoo, but also OGX’s Orchid Oil Shampoo for the best results. It gives you beautifully soft hair, without making it greasy or lank. I have extremely oily and greasy hair and this fits my hair profile perfectly. I love the 60 second element to it as although I do keep it on for longer, it’s great for when you are in a rush because it does deliver the same results. It definitely helps to maintain your colour treated hair and keep your colour lasting for longer. Been using this for almost 2 years now and I have no plans to change!
