Hello! I'm Amy and I am an aspiring Makeup Artist and love all things beauty and skincare! I love writing product reviews and would love to become a YouTube Vlogger. For me, makeup is about having fun and bringing out the person you want to be and have the empowerment and confidence to achieve anything you desire.
✨I already love all of the products in the Hydro Boost range... and this is no exception! After my first use, my colleagues actually commented on how good my skin looked which was a big confidence boost! My skin is the smoothest and softest it has ever been and it creates an amazing base to apply makeup. This even suits my oilier patches on my face and hasn’t bought me out in any breakouts. When used with the rest of the products in the range, the hyaluronic acid does an amazing job of plumping the skin and retain a healthy looking glow. The £15 price tag is worth it! My new go to!
✨I absolutely love this foundation! I actually love it more than my Fenty foundation - and I am actually in love with that! It covers my pores so well, leaving me with a smooth, even complexion that even my colleagues comment on. There are so many beautiful shades to pick from, there really is a shade to suit everybody. Throughout the day it stayed in place and did not look oily or cakey and stayed perfectly matte. The price tag of £5.99 is amazing for such an incredible product. This is my secret weapon for blurring my pores and blemishes. You absolutely need this in your life!
✨For the price tag of £4 I am actually really impressed with this product! The only reason I have given it 3 stars is due to the lack of shades available and when lightened or darkened using MUA’s foundation drops, this does take away from the matte finish it provides. The coverage is pretty good and I managed to achieve a full coverage look with very little effort. It does blend really well and there was no patchyness or cakeyness throughout the day. When set with powder, it will last you pretty much all day. I did look a little shiny in places, but again I fixed this with powder. Not bad!
✨I used to swear by this in my late teens and I knew very little about different types of foundation. I decided to try it again 10 years on and unfortunately the results were not great. Throughout the day. It oxidised terribly and left me looking very patchy and cakey, but also very shiny in my oilier areas too. For a price tag of £30, I expected way better results than this provides. Much like the compact foundation that Benefit do, I am not very impressed with their foundations. I do like that it has SPF in it, but going out in the sun wearing this is not an option!
✨I was really excited to try this foundation after reading the reviews of the concealer and I do love a good matte foundation. However, this product does reflect in its £2.50 price tag. I found it offered hardly any coverage and after trying to build up layers, it just left my looking really shiny with product slipping off my face. The range of colours is not great and I found myself sitting between 2 shades, neither of which was a good fit. I also don’t find it to be that mattifying, it is literally just a bog standard run of the mill foundation. Not for me unfortunately!
✨I must admit I am not overly keen on this Foundation. I found that over the course of the day is went extremely cakey around my ‘normal’ skin areas and made me look really shiny over my oily patches. Granted it did cover my pores, but the added dryness and shine just was enough to put me off. Luckily, I only paid £4.99 for this - if I had paid £9.99 I would’ve been seriously miffed. There is a huge range of shades to choose from which is really good and there should be a shade to suit everyone. This product will just be staying as my emergency foundation.
✨I love this liner - not as much as Kat Von D’s, but big love is still there. The pigmentation of this liner is amazing and is definitely a true black. The felt tip is a good shape and a wing or tight line can be achieved really easily. My only gripe is that because this came in a Birchbox and they have discontinued this range, it has to be imported from the US, meaning customs and higher postage rates added onto the the average price of £16 for this product. This in comparison to the KVD liner is very similar - I just prefer the draw on the later. A great product if you want to import!
✨Again, another eyeliner which provides no colour or precision payoff. I was drawn to paddle tip as I thought this would be great to alternate between thick and thin looks with ease. The liner drags terribly across your eyelid, leaving you with a black, inky mess. As is the case with some other liners, I found it almost impossible to use this over the top of eyeshadow as it dispensed no colour whatsoever. The pigmentation is poor and no where near a true black which I like. It may be cheap at £2.50, but this is reflected in the quality of this product.
✨I bought this after seeing a review on Huda Beauty thinking it was going to be fantastic. What initially drew me to it was the wing stamp, as I thought this was going to save me time in the morning perfecting my wing. Sadly, the stamp does not draw any type of wing and just ends up looking like a splodgy mess. When lining my eyelid, the product did not draw right and is very scratchy - not good for a precise line. When trying to draw over my eyeshadow, the product did not dispense at all and I could not draw to save my life on my lid. Possible one of the worst liners on the market.
✨This liquid eyeliner is hands down the best in the marker range! It so so pigmented and is a true black, which a lot of products are missing. I especially love the fact it is vegan, cruelty free and formulated without parabens, something I am really trying to ditch in my makeup. It is easy to apply and probably one of the best liners to draw a wing. The price tag of £16 initially put me off, but after using I can see it is totally worth the price and I will buy more when this has ran out. It does not smudge or budge and lasts all day long. My absolute new go to!
