I'm a makeup enthusiast, I don't think I have ever been so passionate about anything else over the few years. Focusing on Makeup/Skincare has helped me to get through those mind-numbing days, something I actually look forward to talking about and experimenting with every day!
I am currently studying Science with the hope of studying cosmetic science at university.
Some of my favourite brands (there are too many to think of) include:
Jeffree Star Cosmetics,
Anastasia Beverly Hill's,
House of Lashes.
One day, I would love to be able to be a full-time blogger, this is my ambition and I am proud that it is, I can't explain how much it means to me.
The whole design of these mini makeup palettes are so cute, I had to get one. After missing out last year as they sold out, I managed to get my hands on one this year on the day that they released. I love the idea of having eye shadow on one side and a highlighter side combined as it really appeals to those, like me who are always on the look out for handbag/travel friendly products. I think the highlighters are okay, not the best, but they are use-able, not the worst I have seen. Unfortunately the eye shadows didn't work out for me. They were difficult to blend, on so many occasions I have hamore...d to remove my eye makeup as it just looked awful and patchy, I tried to make them work. Revolution have so many other eye shadow palettes, yes they are bigger but they perform so much better. I personally would not recommend wasting your money on this. I feel like they have banked on the fact that people will grab them just for the cute packaging.
I have never tried Fenty Beauty until now. After the bronzer I used to use all the time was discontinued at KIKO, I was determined to find a new one. The perfect bronzer for me is one that works for a pale skin tone without making me look orange. I took a risk and purchased this in the shade 'Inda Sun'. I fell in love with it after the first use, it is what my finished makeup has recently been lacking. It blends beautifully without looking muddy. There is also a lack of orangeness running through it, which in my eyes is perfect, just what I was looking for. Although on the pricier side, a littmore...le goes a lot way and I can see this bronzer lasting me forever, I also received student discount because that is now a thing a boots (yay). If you struggle to find a pale bronzer and are willing to pay £23, I would highly recommend. I can't wait to try more from Fenty Beauty!
I personally didn't find that this "fixing spray" fixed anything. The only benefit I seem to gain from it is that it's quite refreshing. Unfortunately even that doesn't make it worth using as I find that it leaves shiny patches where it didn't seem to dry properly all over my face, at least if it was an even finish it wouldn't have been so bad. I purchased this because I couldn't afford to get the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray at the time I needed it, which I usually get and swear by. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money.
I have not been able to find a lip gloss lately that works for me and trust me I have searched and searched. Just as I was about to give up looking for that perfect gloss, I won the SOSU Gloss Bitch Lip Gloss for the review of the week. I have the Gloss Bitch Lip Gloss in the shade Vanilla Silk. I have to say, it is the perfect shade for me, I always struggle, but this is it! As with most lip glosses, it does need to be reapplied every now and then, I would say roughly once an hour. The gloss itself is only mildly sticky, there is still a hair stuck in the lip gloss situation every time the wmore...ind blows but it's not huge like others I have tried. The pigmentation is fantastic, it is the most opaque lip gloss I have used without being streaky. Paired with my LOLA lip liner, it looks incredible! The only issue I have with this product is that it doesn't seem to work well with the few Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks I have tried with it, I don't know if this is because it contains oil, but it seems to start moving everything looking like my lips are trying to slide off of my face. Other than that I think it is a fantastic product and works exceptionally with a nude lip liner. I will be looking into purchasing more of these.
I am in love with the Magic Star setting powder, it feels like my makeup just looks complete now I am using it on a daily basis. Although expensive, I feel like my skin appears much more airbrushed that it does with any other setting powder I have used in the past, it is so finely milled. I have the shade translucent, although next time I purchase I will be swaying towards fair to see how well that one performs. The packaging is beautiful, it's great to see Jeffree really focusing on making his packaging unique to complement his outstanding line. My only grouch is that it comes with a scent. Imore... feel that adding a scent to a loose powder product is a huge mistake as it is encouraging people to inhale harmful ingredients such as talc, if I could bring myself to do it, which I can't because it performs so well, I would mark it down a star just for this reason as it is dangerous. I would 100% recommend this product, but please, DO NOT inhale it.
I had recently given up on wearing eyeliner, I just feel like I never have time to perfect it and always mess up. Trying the Lola extra slim pen eyeliner has changed my mind. The liner itself is opaque and precision that can be achieved is incredible. The tip of the pen is so fine that it hard to make a mistake. I have been using it for over a week and it still hasn't dried up, which is my books is fantastic, I've had way too many issues with this happening with products like this in the past. Overall I would definitely recommend this if you are looking to make a difficult job much easier!
I purchased the Viseart Tryst palette a while ago at 30% off. I use it on pretty much a daily basis. The shades I use the most are Dangereuse, a matte peach, Liason, a pink matte and Rendezvous, a champagne shimmer. The shimmer shades in the palette perform beautifully, even more so with a damp brush. The matte shades are also wonderful, supplying great, long lasting pigmentation whilst blending seamlessly. It really is the perfect neutral palette. I will be purchasing more from Viseart in the future as the performance of the Tryst palette is exceptional for the shades it contains.
I am always on the look out for a great nude lip liner, I have this in the shade Nude Obsession 008. I find most lip liners I have tried to be drying and they crumble after about an hour, this liner feels quite creamy and has easily lasted for 6 hours +. I have tried it with both lipstick and on it's own with a bit of lip blam and it is beautiful! I never wear lipstick at work (I did when I was working in pubs) because I find that it is just a bit too much. This is such a natural shade but just adds that little bit of definition and colour that I need. The lip brush on the other side is a wondmore...erful idea, perfect for blending the liner and a lipstick for that beautiful bit of added depth. I would recommend this particular shade and will be looking out for more, I will be wearing it most days!
