I was presently suprised with this- bought it on clearance for £4 on a whim and ended up really liking the scent! I feel like it's a good transition from young teenage sweet scents into a young adult- in that it smells mature but not in an old lady way. Even my brother (who is the most oblivious person ever) complimented this perfume! I wish it lasted longer on the skin, but it still has decent longevity. I would definitely repurchase it if it were on offer
It is very waterproof- I'll give it that, but it is a nightmare to take off! Even after 10 minutes of scrubbing with my best make up remover it still stays on my lashes- meaning that by morning my eye is red and irritated which isn't what I want on holiday 😂 It doesn't give any volume or length- it only give a slight tint. The brush is this really weird cobra head shape which doesn't help the ease of application. This mascara isn't worth the hassle- and I've given up on it for my holiday in favour of going mascara free until I get home
I can’t vieve how disapppinted I was with these! Firstly, the were so dry it meant it couldn’t take off a full face of makeup. Even after ages of scrubbing I would use another bottled cleanser and still find so much make up the wipe had missed! Secondly, the amount of scrubbing you have to do causes so much irritation, and stings like hell! I don’t have time for these wipes when brands like Simple don’t let me down. I won’t even be finishing these up, I’m passing them along to my mum who doesn’t wear heavy make up- hopefully it will work better for her! (I’ll leave my mum’s update down below)
Wow, where to even start with this... It is the best setting powder I have ever tried. I didn't realise how cakey my other powders made me look until trying this one! It smooths everything out and gives almost a velvety finish. I will say that the ELF undereye setting powder makes my under eyes look smoother, but this is a very close second. But for all over the face this comes out on top. I wish the packaging had some kind of sifter as it does get messy, but honestly the airbrushed finish it gives makes it all worth it. Haven't touched my Rimmel Stay Matte in months!
I really love scrubbiness of this exfoliator! It can crumble a little over time, but its not much of an issue. It is a lot easier to use than other lip scrubs I have tried thanks to the lipstick bullet packaging. I would definitely repurchase this, but not in the brown sugar flavour. It does taste delicious and I will use it up, but it isn't what I want when I'm getting ready in the mornings. Next to try is the mint one!
I love that it has a good consistency where it kinda dries down but isn't drying. The first issue I had was that it came with this weird white discolouration on the initial layer, but it did wipe away and the product beneath was fine. Also, this doesn't work at all with a lip liner- it patches off and looks awful! But since the tip of the lipstick is pretty thin, it isn't too hard to get a sharp line. I would consider buying another shade because they are so comfortable, but non of the other current options appeal to me. Perhaps my mind would change if there were more shades available
I bought the shade Mellow Mauve and have found it to be completely unique considering it's such a neutral colour. It kind of has this very subtle blue iridescent shift which just gives this amazing healthy glow (The blue isn't noticeable on the cheeks, it just adds something extra). As I have found with all of ELF's blush formulas, they take a little extra time to blend- but this one less so than others. It also doesn't cling to where the product is first placed (unlike the blush duos). overall I really like this blush and will be looking out for other stand out shades in the collection!
This is a pretty standard blush duo- it holds decent pigment and lasts all day. It does need a little extra love to get it to blend fully, but generally looks good. I have it in the shade Soft and Subtle, and find that mixing the two colours together gives a natural matte flush. Right now I'm more into blushes with a sheen, but when Autumn and Winter come around these tones will look beautiful. I'll try and hit pan to get my moneys worth, but there are other blush formulas I prefer so will not be repurchasing
Urgh, where to begin! I have the shade St Lucia and it is a hot mess. The blush is difficult to blend out and tends to clump together. On top of this, it has straight up silver glitter! You can tap most the glitter off but it still very noticeable on the face. The bronzer side is a little tough to blend, but isn't the worst bronzer ever. The Matte Blush duo in Soft and Subtle has an identical blush minus the silver glitter and a slightly pinker toned bronzer colour, would definitely recommend Soft and Subtle over St Lucia
