There's nothing wrong with this product, but it's just not as impressive as other blushes and highlighters. The blush gives a nice sheen without holding too much pigment, but I expected it to be more gold considering I bought the shade Rose Gold. The I Heart Revolution Blushing Hearts are much better in terms of pigment and shine. The Highlighter half is like the cheap sister of the ELF baked highlighters. It's not bad- but Moonlight Pearls is way more reflective and less dusty. I'll keep using it since I have it, but you're not missing out on anything by not owning it
I bought the shade Moonlight Pearls and this has changed my highlight game. Definitely scrape off the top layer (I found using a spoolie easiest) to get the best pay off. I had never realised that my other highlighters exaggerate texture on my skin until after seeing how smoothing this one is. It doesn't perform as well as an inner corner highlight, but it gives almost a wet look to the cheekbone. If I run out of this then I'll definitely repurchase, even at full price. It is definitely worth every penny!
I was disappointed when the product first arrived because of how small it was, and the brush it comes with is a joke (knocking off a star for this). But this does an amazing job of setting your under eyes without changing the colour of your concealer! I don't usually have too much of an issue with creasing, but after 12 hours it still looks exactly the same as when first applied whereas other powders begin to wear off. Would definitely recommend trying this, but wait for the elf 50% of sale! I will be repurchasing when sale season comes back around, but until then I'll try some other brands
This foundation is definitely not full coverage, I'd say more of a medium. But still it is my best wearing foundation I own. every other foundation I have tried needs to be powdered around the 5 hour mark, but this one turns dewy without being oily and looks great even after a busy 12 hour day in 27 degree heat! I'm very impressed with this foundation. It does have a strong smell of sunscreen which lingered on the back of my hand, but not on my face. Would definitely recommend trying this- but wait for the ELF 50% off sale to save some cash! Will be stocking up during the next 50% off sale
I've had this brush for well over a year and have used it every day! I love the size of the angled brush, its fine enough to get a precise edge, but is also thick enough that it doesn't take forever to fill in the brow. It has travelled with me and has been washed a good 10 times but somehow still looks brand new. It's incredibly versatile; I have used it for pomades, powders and even to highlight the brow bone and its still going strong. I'm super impressed how well this sucker has lasted with it being used daily. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
I bought the Guest List palette because I wanted to try more red toned shades. While this did do the job (I have decided that red isn't for me) many of the shades in the palette all look the same. I also found that I always ended up getting the same look. While the packaging is beautiful and the quality of the shadows aren't bad, I would rather have saved the £10 price tag and put it towards a high end palette. Perhaps there is more variety in the other two palettes in this range, but I'd recommend passing on the Guest list palette
I have the shade Ambient which is the more natural subtle shade. I like the actual effect that the highlighter gives, it is VERY subtle, but it has a really weird undertone. when light hits it, its a pearly pink colour, but with a kinda grey undertone. It just looks kinda wrong. I can't see this working on any skin tone because of this grey tinge, but I did like how it wore and sat on the skin. This will probably end up being passed on to someone else in hope that the undertone works better for them...but I don't have particularly high hopes
I have the white shade and it did not disappoint! It is the same formula and coverage as the Conceal and Define and blends just as well. I use it mixed in with the Conceal and Define in C1 to brighten my under eye and it is a complete game changer! I'd pass on the orange and green shades because they both look to be too dark, but I have no doubt that they would work amazingly for deeper skin tones. I am definitely considering picking up the banana shade to help colour correct dark circles. Would recommend trying these out if you loved the Conceal and Define!
I'm using the clear shade as a brow gel. It has pretty good hold, but not as good as NYX Control Freak. I hate that the packaging is clear because it looks gross really quickly (I thought the packaging was white when I bought it). I definitely prefer it to the Rimmel or Maybelline brow gel, but I'd rather spend a bit more and get Control Freak. I'll use it up since I have it, but I'll be going back to trusty NYX afterwards
