For my preference, the formula is way too waxy and doesn't take to the waterline. If you do manage to get it to apply to the waterline then it comes off in a matter of hours! I have managed to get it to stick on the upper lash line, and to give credit where credit is due, it did stay put for a full 12 hour day without fading or transferring anywhere. But if I want a lid liner I'll use a liquid rather than pencil since it is a lot more precise, easier to apply and lasts just as long. Wouldn't recommend or repurchase this
Even though it says this is a contour palette, I am so pale that contour always looks too orange or too muddy on me. I bought the shade Dulce de Leche and used as a bronzer it is amazing! It has this beautiful undertone that I cant quite describe (its warm without being orange, but I don't understand how :') ) It is definitely meant to be built up since it is quite sheer, but that works best for me since if I'm in a rush I use a heavy hand. It blends out seamlessly and looks airbrushed. The matte highlighter shade is too dark for me to use as an undereye highlight, but it is the perfect shademore... to sharpen up contour under the cheekbone. My preference is to use it to set my eyeshadow primer as it helps to remove any discolouration. would 100% recommend to anyone who needs a affordable bronzer
I bought the shade Luminoso since it was a cult classic and it did not disappoint!. It is definitely more on the buildable side and blends like a dream. It does have a strong sheen to it which gives a healthy glow (definitely no glitter though!) It doesn't emphasise my pores, but I would avoid using it if I had a particularly bad spot on my cheek. My preference is to wear a completely matte foundation then add this blush to bring back some glow in specific areas. I also love that it doubles up as a highlighter which is great if you don't have long to get ready in the mornings. It's a bit more more...expensive than other affordable blushes, but in my eyes is 100% worth it. Currently eyeing up the shade Rosa Romantica on Beauty Bay...
I didn’t notice how poorly this concealer wears until I tried other brands. It does have great coverage and works well on covering any spots, but it breaks apart on the skin and looks terrible after around 4-5 hours! (I do have very oily skin) It does have a better shade range than other No7 products, but I’m always cautious with what they match me with. I bought my first foundation from No7 and the lady matched me with that lil machine thing to a completely wrong shade! If you do decide to pick this up, don’t completely reply on the machine to match you
I have never tried any shower gel similar to this scent, and it does smell good enough to eat, but its not for me. I was hoping it would smell like Flumps, but it was too sickly for me morning or evening. I also feel like the consistency of this is different it Imperial Leathers usual formula- it feels more jelly/slime like (not in a bad way, but I prefer the texture of their older stuff). I'll try to finish it up, but I might pass it on to my housemates if I get fed up with the scent. It is definitely great value for money as you get a huge bottle for a pound, so if you love very sweet scentsmore... then its worth giving this a shot
I'm so glad that I finally bit the bullet and bought one of these! I played it safe and bought Celebrity Skin and I have fallen in love with it! they are by far the most comfortable liquid lipstick I own, and wear down really nicely. It does wear off around the centre of the lip when eating particularly messy food, but it doesn't bunch up weird when its reapplied. I wish that the applicator didn't have the dip in the centre and that the scent wasn't so strong of sweet plastic, but honestly the comfort and longevity that these give have me completely sold. I'm desperate to try Mannequin, Unicormore...n Blood and No Tea No Shade next from people's recommendations!
Hey guys! I picked up the Aldi's face mask dupe and have I I I've tried these out for the last couple of nights. Here are my thoughts;
Lacura Pink Clay Mask (£5.99) vs. Sand & Sky Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask (£39.99)
- When first applied, the Sand & Sky mask appears a darker pink, but the Lacura dries to a brighter white (as seen in the picture below- Lacura is on the left)
-Sand & Sky took a lot less time to dry down
- Lacura feels a lot tighter on the skin and cracks a lot more when you move your face (hence my resting bitch face in the pic)
Will continue in the comments!
**I didn't know it said not suitable for use around the eyes until several weeks into using it!**
I bought this on a whim from hearing great things about it several years ago...unfortunately it falls flat on my expectations. I bought the shade 27 since it looked like a pale base with a light gold glitter. However, when applied it came out sweetcorn yellow! Was definitely not what I expected...The pigmentation held up pretty well with the NYX glitter primer, but there was fallout all over the face throughout the day! A positive is that it didn't irritate my eyes- despite saying its not for eye more...use (whoops). The glitter wouldn't come of nicely at the end of the day- it would get stuck and smear around my face and would stay for several days no matter how often I washed my face! This really wasn't my cup of tea. I also tried it as a highlighter and that was a huge mistake- I just had a sweetcorn yellow strip up my face. I could see this being useful for festivals or something, but it's no from me
This did a great job at brightening and evening out my skin tone, and I really felt like it reduced redness. It dries very quickly into a firm white clay mask, but I was surprised at how easily it washes off with water. This is definitely amazing quality, but the price of £40 is wayyy out of my budget. However, I would definitely consider repurchasing if it came in a smaller deluxe sample, or even as a gift. After using this mask, I can see noticeable changes in my skin whereas with other masks, I usually can't. If this is in your budget, then I would definitely recommend!
I have already bought 2 back ups of this! It is amazing at adding length and volume, so much so that people have asked me if I'm wearing false lashes. It can flake a little and transfer to my browbone by the very end of a long day (hence not 5 stars), but honestly the volume it gives is unreal. The formula is initially very wet and takes a little time and practice to stop it transferring, but after a week or so it is incredible. It can also get a bit clumpy of you don't give it a chance to dry a little between each coat, but if you're patient then it'll work great! The bargain price is a bonusmore...- but it's a shame its only available at Wilko as it is usually sold out and Wilko's delivery charges aren't the cheapest. I definitely will be trying the pink version of this mascara. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a dramatic lash!
