I'm a makeup enthusiast, I don't think I have ever been so passionate about anything else over the few years. Focusing on Makeup/Skincare has helped me to get through those mind-numbing days, something I actually look forward to talking about and experimenting with every day!
I have recently completed A-Level Chemistry, Biology and Physics and I am just waiting for other grades to come back with the hope of studying Cosmetic Science at university this year.
Some of my favourite brands (there are too many to think of) include:
Jeffree Star Cosmetics,
Anastasia Beverly Hill's,
House of Lashes.
One day, I would love to be able to be a full-time blogger, this is my ambition and I am proud that it is, I can't explain how much it me
Just woke up to the Blue Blood Palette by JSC this morning off my mum for my birthday! I'm so happy! I've been so behind with his palettes lately and I finally have it! 😍😍😍 I'm so excited to finally get to use it and have it in my collection! 😍😍😍 Such an amazing gift! 😍😍😍
To begin with, I adore the scent in this primer, although for anyone sensitive to strong scents, this may be an issue. If you love coconut scents like me, you would get a great first impression.
Initially I thought this primer had potential due to it's price point and the slight tackiness once applied. My first thought was that my foundation should have stayed put.
Claiming to be a universal primer, for all skin types, it was sure to work, especially with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Matte Longwear Foundation.
Unfortunately this primer did not work out for me, I continued to use it until I reamore...ched the end of the bottle, trying to find any redeeming qualities to it, apart from the scent. I didn't notice any 'pore diffusing' and originally thought the foundation could have been the problem. My foundation didn't last very long at all throughout the day, it would start to separate much quicker than most other foundations I had used previously.
The only benefit I could possibly find was that my skin tone did appear much more even, but the texture didn't seem to improve in appearance overall.
After changing my primer to the 'Revolution Pro Pore Primer' once this one ran out, the foundation has lasted much longer without separating and looks fantastic in comparison to before.
I personally wouldn't recommend this primer, but it does appear to work for some people. I don't know if they do samples, but if they do, I would recommend trying it before buying it to avoid potentially wasting your money.
I have one of these lipsticks in the shade 'Litchee'. It's close to the usual nude shades I sway towards, if not a little darker. It's absolutely gorgeous and adds that extra bit of glam to a natural everyday look. The application is stress free, I automatically use a lip liner, and found there to be no bleeding throughout the day. From the first application it continues to be comfortable and light throughout the day until the next top up. I find that it does not dry down and start to flake like a large amount of bullet lipsticks tend to after a few hours, it fades gracefully with a lack of wamore...xy residue left behind. I will be trying more shades from this range, as so far I couldn't be happier with the results!
After receiving my GCSE results today (I had to retake my maths) and finishing the Access Science course I was taking until last month, I can now say I will be starting University at the end of September, studying Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science! I'm over the moon!
I personally find this primer excellent for the price. It has a similar texture to the porefessional but isn't quite at that standard in performance. Since going back to college, I have had to keep the makeup budget lower so this was perfect. It minimises the pores enough to be a decent primer. I would recommend this or the collection one (similar to the smashbox pore one) if you are on a budget or as a back up to have on hand for when you are trying out new products!
I have this lipstick in the shade 45. It's an absolutely beautiful pinky nude and it's just what I have been looking for as an every day nude. Paired with the LOLA makeup Nude Obsession lip pencil (which I'm nearly out of) it helps to create that fuller lip look, as the pencil is only a subtle shade darker than the lipstick. Like most bullet lipsticks, it needs to be reapplied occasionally but it is worth it as the creamy shine it delivers is gorgeous! If you are after a good, affordable nude lipstick, then I would highly recommend!
