I'm a makeup enthusiast, I don't think I have ever been so passionate about anything else over the few years. Focusing on Makeup/Skincare has helped me to get through those mind-numbing days, something I actually look forward to talking about and experimenting with every day!
I have recently completed A-Level Chemistry, Biology and Physics and I am just waiting for other grades to come back with the hope of studying Cosmetic Science at university this year.
Some of my favourite brands (there are too many to think of) include:
Jeffree Star Cosmetics,
Anastasia Beverly Hill's,
House of Lashes.
One day, I would love to be able to be a full-time blogger, this is my ambition and I am proud that it is, I can't explain how much it me
I personally find this primer excellent for the price. It has a similar texture to the porefessional but isn't quite at that standard in performance. Since going back to college, I have had to keep the makeup budget lower so this was perfect. It minimises the pores enough to be a decent primer. I would recommend this or the collection one (similar to the smashbox pore one) if you are on a budget or as a back up to have on hand for when you are trying out new products!
I have this lipstick in the shade 45. It's an absolutely beautiful pinky nude and it's just what I have been looking for as an every day nude. Paired with the LOLA makeup Nude Obsession lip pencil (which I'm nearly out of) it helps to create that fuller lip look, as the pencil is only a subtle shade darker than the lipstick. Like most bullet lipsticks, it needs to be reapplied occasionally but it is worth it as the creamy shine it delivers is gorgeous! If you are after a good, affordable nude lipstick, then I would highly recommend!
I have one of these liquid lipsticks in the shade 01 First Date. The shade is nice, appeared darker than what I imagined based on the online swatches. It feels comfortable on the lips and doesn't feel like it is drying and cracking. My main issue is that it isn't long lasting and transfers quite quickly. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing this on the lips while out as it doesn't feel as reliable as a large amount of other liquid lipsticks out there. If it was long lasting and transfer proof, with the same texture, it would be perfect!
I have one of these in the shade 'Hint of Mint'. I absolutely adore this shade, I was torn between this one and 'Empire Yellow' as they both looked stunning. So far the polish has lasted on my toes for 2 weeks without any issues, I thought it was the perfect shade for summer and it looks fantastic with a pair of sandals. I would recommend these polishes and will be adding more to my collection when I can!
I have a travel size of this mascara and I was so excited to initially try it out. The volume it delivers is great but it is extremely easy to go over the top, quickly, creating a clumpy mess. I also found that after a couple of hours it transfers to the area under my brows which is not a great look, especially when using it for the first time on a night out. I have used it on multiple occasions since and I have had the exact same issues each time. I would not recommend this mascara unless they release a waterproof version.
The whole design of these mini makeup palettes are so cute, I had to get one. After missing out last year as they sold out, I managed to get my hands on one this year on the day that they released. I love the idea of having eye shadow on one side and a highlighter side combined as it really appeals to those, like me who are always on the look out for handbag/travel friendly products. I think the highlighters are okay, not the best, but they are use-able, not the worst I have seen. Unfortunately the eye shadows didn't work out for me. They were difficult to blend, on so many occasions I have hamore...d to remove my eye makeup as it just looked awful and patchy, I tried to make them work. Revolution have so many other eye shadow palettes, yes they are bigger but they perform so much better. I personally would not recommend wasting your money on this. I feel like they have banked on the fact that people will grab them just for the cute packaging.
I have never tried Fenty Beauty until now. After the bronzer I used to use all the time was discontinued at KIKO, I was determined to find a new one. The perfect bronzer for me is one that works for a pale skin tone without making me look orange. I took a risk and purchased this in the shade 'Inda Sun'. I fell in love with it after the first use, it is what my finished makeup has recently been lacking. It blends beautifully without looking muddy. There is also a lack of orangeness running through it, which in my eyes is perfect, just what I was looking for. Although on the pricier side, a littmore...le goes a lot way and I can see this bronzer lasting me forever, I also received student discount because that is now a thing a boots (yay). If you struggle to find a pale bronzer and are willing to pay £23, I would highly recommend. I can't wait to try more from Fenty Beauty!
I personally didn't find that this "fixing spray" fixed anything. The only benefit I seem to gain from it is that it's quite refreshing. Unfortunately even that doesn't make it worth using as I find that it leaves shiny patches where it didn't seem to dry properly all over my face, at least if it was an even finish it wouldn't have been so bad. I purchased this because I couldn't afford to get the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray at the time I needed it, which I usually get and swear by. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money.
