This product makes the chore of cleaning your brushes quick and effortless. I wouldn’t necessarily use it for a deep clean but it does take off the majority of makeup and bacteria build up without the need for rinsing and it is quick drying. It has a light vanilla scent once it has dried and can be used on natural and synthetic brushes. It’s now available in the uk (Thanks to Beauty Bay) and comes in 3 sizes. I apply it to a flannel, swirl my brush in it then rub it off on a separate towel. It doesn’t take much rubbing before the brush is clean. So simple 😊
So a couple of years ago I started to develop patches of pigmentation, first above my top lip and then at either side of my nose. I was told it was called malasma caused by hormones and sun damage. (I barely see the sun 🤷🏻♀️) It progressively got darker to the point where not much would cover it and I dont wear heavy makeup. So I first tried several targeted laser treatments and started to wear a factor 50spf daily. I also tried a retinol to try and reduce the deep colour but it just seemed to keep coming back after each laser session. I came across an article that suggested applying pure more...coconut oil so I went straight to Holland & Barrett. This was on sale for 50p!!!! So I thought I’d give it a try and I am so glad I did. I have applied this to the areas morning and night religiously for 3 weeks now and the pigment has visibly reduced in colour and in size. It’s not gone completely but enough to cover with a light concealer and doesn’t bother me when I don’t wear makeup. My skin looks healthier and is feels moisturised and it’s not cost me the earth!! I’m so glad I read that article! This stuff is genius 👌🏻
I love this product and will definitely be repurchasing when it runs out. I don’t use much of it but I do feel like it has lasted me a very long time. I have the shade 2 and use it to brightens under the eyes and for coverage around my nose. It’s not as tick or heavy as some concealers which is great for my skin type. It gives enough coverage in one application but built up it’s even better and so easy to blend. I also like the click and bristle style applicator and the classic CT packaging. Would recommend to anyone who likes a natural, fresh finish with light coverage.
I’ve had this for a good few weeks now and it’s finally at a stage where the consistency is nice and its easy to work with. It was really wet to begin with and hard to apply to the bottom lashes. I found it ran easily and took a while to dry. Now I’ve used it and the air has got to it abit, it’s much better.’ It separates and lengthens without looking clumpy. I the plastic bristles on the wand are quite firm but flexible and don’t grab hold of too much product. You can later it a couple of times but it’s nit really necessary. I just don’t see the purpose to the bendable aspect. Overall a nicemore... mascara but didn’t blow me away.
@GlamGeekClaire could you please add the Viva Coco oil to the list of products...it’s really helped with my pigmentation so wanted to review it 😊 thanks x
Also the Fresh range (coconut lip balm in particular) but I got this from America so not sure if you list products out of the country? x
😍❤️😍 I rarely use emojis when reviewing but this one really needs them! This palette is beyond beautiful...from the colour payoff to the buttery texture to the stunning packaging. I love it all and I’ve since purchased the latest Unlocked Edit palette and also the bronzer in a separate compact because I’ve hit pan and it’s sooo beautiful. The blush adds a soft flush of pink to the cheeks (this looks so pretty in the summer). The highlight adds a light gokden glow but can be built up to a really intense highlight if you use a setting spray. I love how they all apply and blend and they can be more...built up for a more intense look. Each powder contains glitter particles but doesn’t look chunky or like a glitter ball, they just add a healthy glow. It’s compact enough for in your hand bag and great for travelling. I’m a huge fan!
I’ve had my eye on this palette for a while and as beautiful as it is, it has taken me a few tries to find what shades create the best eye looks for my skin tone and eye shape. I find the darker shades a little hard to blend without looking patchy so a light hand and building them up works best. It has a great shade range and the shimmers are lovely (especially applied wet) I do find some of the matte shades quite powdery though so tend to tap my brush before applying. It is a beautiful palette of great quality and the packaging is so pretty.
I am a huge fan of this bronzer and wear it all year round (I have shade bronze light) It has a slight shimmer - more of glow not heavy particles of glitter and it adds radiance to the skin. Applied with a light hand gives a nice hint of bronze but it can be layered for a more intense look (or in the summer) its so versatile and looks fab on the eyes as it ties in with you’re bronzed cheeks. The packaging is so beautiful and it’s a really luxurious product as you would expect. Although it comes with a heavy price tag it will last a long time.
