A makeup fanatic trying to find some hidden gems.
Makeup is important to me because it's a scope to creativity, and often helps make us feel more confident and innovative. There is so much versatility in products and I hope to share that in my reviews, so people can make the most out of their products.
The colour payoff of my lipstick is fantastic, and application is somewhat decent. However, the product is very easy to transfer for a matte, and quite often can move to your teeth if you're not careful. I do love the nude colour range, however as the product feels more moisturising than matte I don't think it delivers to its name.
The packaging and formula of this mascara are genuinely great, I love how it stands out. When applied to my lashes the product does decently at lengthening, however I find the brush itself quite small and inconvenient as I need to re-apply the product for a good result. The dark black colour is perfect for my lashes, however if kept on for a long time (as mascara normally is) I do tend to find that there are small smudges of mascara under my eyes near the later hours of the day.
This product is soft and gentle on your lips, drying down to a lovely matte. I've previously used shades 'London' and 'Los Angeles' and was a little disappointed by the lack of pigment, I had expected a little more brown tones nudes. Despite that, once paired with a nice lipliner the lip cream is great and blends to create an almost new tone. These are my everyday go-to and I look forward to trying more shades from the growing range.
I have been searching for a nice brown lip gloss for some time, so when I stumbled across these I was very happy. The packaging itself is sleek and gorgeous, I love it. I use the shade Mint Chocolate and the colour and application are lovely. As it's a gloss, you will need to re-apply, however I think the only problem is with the smell. Though it's a very nice addition, I think it can be a bit overpowering when you're applying the product, other than that I'm very happy with the gloss.
I really recommend you do your research before buying this. Carmex is a product that is very popular, and all the people I know who use it are constantly re-applying it... There's a reason for that. When I first used this product I wanted a little moisture on my lips before going to sleep, when I woke up my lips had never been more dry before. The corners of my lips were stinging and cracked and it took me some good old Burt's Bees to help me out. The reason for this is because Carmex includes some dangerous chemicals, such as Camphor, which ideally dries out your skin. Why? So you will continmore...ue to use the product to keep 'moisturising' your lips, however this is inevitably destroying them. I seriously recommend trying out products with less chemicals and more natural ingredients, Carmex might be good for your purse but it isn't good for your lips.
I bought the shade Caramel Daisy, which I don't think is available any longer, sadly. At first I was disappointed with the lack of pigment from the lip balm, but in hindsight I'm grateful for that. The product will last you a long time without needing to re-apply, and it really saved me from Carmax, which had initially caused my lips to crack up. It's very handy and affordable, and I look forward to try some other shades.
I got this product as a free item when I purchased some other Revolution items, so it's not something I would normally approach. I do appreciate the packaging, it's lovely and the mirror inside it better than many others I have. The three pink shades look slightly different when packaged, however when I swatched them they seemed to look the exact same; however, that may be subjective. When blended, I found that they were quite dry and patchy so the overall result looked chalky. The only nice shade, ironically, was the highlighting silver/champagne tone. It was more pigmented and stood out quitmore...e nicely in comparison to the actual blushes.
This product does it all for me, it's got lovely coverage and is perfect for both volumising and lengthening my lashes. As I already have quite thick, dark and long eyelashes, I find this is one of the products that enhances them without being clumpy or spidery. The applicator itself is great, and I recommend saving one of those if you tend to apply serums/oils to your eyebrows or eyelashes as they're very handy.
This was one of my first drugstore palettes, and I was very impressed with it for the price! I use the Nude Bronse Palette, and the shimmery shades are just lovely! They're very pigmented and smooth, and I find that some of the shades are fantastic for using as a highlighter. There was definitely some transfer after time, but for the price this palette is an absolute steal.
This product was one of my first foundations, and I was very excited to use it. Beforehand, I have to say that the range of shades werevvery impressive and I got the perfect shade match (Buff), which is great! However, my skin can tend to be dry/combination, and this foundation just wasn't helpful. It dries down quite quickly so you have to blend it straight away. Once I'd done that, I found that my cheeks were covered in dry patches that resulted in making the rest of my makeup look horrible. The product was build able, however it was impossible to wear outside because it made my skin look temore...rrible, even with a hydrating Primer underneath.
