I have an oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. I use this serum maybe every week. Not more than once a week. I use it when my pores get too congested. While immediate results are great, my skin is soft and clean, I always get more acne next day as it is pushing out the sebum from my pores but then they seem to get overclogged. While it pushes them to the surface it does not really clean them out. They end up being more visible the next day and all I can do to keep them clean is to do a facial. Little white and black dots are not the problem but definitely the ones that get clogged from inside creating painful enclosed acne which won't go away for days and I can't do anything about it. I do have a love/hate relationship with all BHA products I've tried but I think this one especially. Also, it is quite harsh on my face every time I use it. I can definitely feel quite intense tingling and trust me I can take a lot pain wise. So really I would only recommend this sparingly and if you have a skin that can take it.

I’m not going to lie I was a bit sceptical and a little scared to try this blood coloured face peel. But I needn't of been this magical bottle really works I used this the first time a few days ago and I could feel it working instantly. My face started to tingle and I knew it was definitely doing something. When I woke up the next day it had brought loads of my impurity’s to the surface. My face definitely felt a lot tighter and cleaner. Im really pleased with how this is working for me. Obviously things have to get worse before they get better but within days of using this product I can definitely see an improvement

I love this stuff, yes it stings when you put it on, but after ten minutes when you wash it off you are left with a brighter complexion. It helps with any acne too, reduces spot size and clears up much quicker than any other products. I’m almost finished y second bottle and once it’s restocked on beauty bay I will definitely be buying another!

Absolutely fab. I have used it 3 times now and can see the results. I have had 2 stubborn spots that scanned over but would not disappear and I have tried everything. This has shifted them and made my skin feel like baby's bottom. Its brightened and evened out my tone too. It does sting but it is bearable. It says leave on for 10 minutes but I left it on for about 45 minutes and it was fine. Shrunk my pores on my nose also.

Is one of my fav cosmetics. I used this weekly and my skin never feel more cleaner and soft, you apply to the face directly from the dropper, massage in and leave for 10 mins before rinsing off. You need to be careful with sun contact with your skin while you using this product. I'm recommend this product also make up look more glow after using peeling solution. I'm also using with it hyaluronic acid 2% also ordinary.

This mask makes my skin feel so soft and makes it look so much brighter and youthful! It gently removes the top layer of your skin (dead skin cells) to create a smoother more hydrated feeling base. You apply it onto DRY skin after washing it and leave it on for 10 minutes then wash off, it’s so gentle you could definitely use it 2/3 times a week there isn’t any burning or tingling when you apply it and you skin doesn’t just fall off instantly it gently exfoliates over a period of about a week. Don’t worry you won’t be able to notice it falling off it just does so like it would naturally the mask just encourages it to begin its shedding cycle! It isn’t that messy and has no nasty chemical smell, I apply it all over like a mask it even says you can apply it to you neck if you want to. After using this a few times my skin felt smoother, softer, looked brighter and looked clearer, it definitely works a treats, 100% recommend, I’m clearly a massive fan of the ordinary products but once you try them you’ll defo see why!

This is a weekly ritual for my hubby and I to use this product. Hubby has oily skin and I have dry/sensitive skin. We have both noticed in a difference in the skin tone and brightness of our skin. Hubby’s skin isn’t as oily as it was. There is a slight tingling when this applied in a thin layer all over the face and neck – I also put it on my décolleté. The ten minutes you have to wait before removing it using warm water and a damp cloth to me is enough -any less and I don’t think the results would be great, any more and you might be very sun sensitive. The mild crepiness of my décolleté has improved. We will be repurchasing this product as we both have noticed a difference in our skins since using it.

I have been using this now for 3 weeks and I'm so pleased I followed reviews and made the purchase. The initial application really stung when applied, I found more so around the areas of my face that were a little more congested like my T-zone and around my nose, and I did find my skin was a little blotchy for a few hours after. The 2nd application just some minor tingling, but I really noticed the day after how much better my skin was looking. My skin was so much softer, glowy and just in a much better condition This just works!. This is a definite keeper and now a regular in my skin regime, highly recommend

I was so intrigued by this product and I’m so glad I tried it. It is a thick, gloopy, red wine coloured liquid which you apply to the face directly from the dropper, massage in and leave for 10 mins before rinsing off. The smell is quite unpleasant and it does tingle a little bit however I think it’s totally worth it for the effect. My skin is left so smooth and soft. After 3 weeks of use (2-3 times a week) blemishes have disappeared and so has some slight scarring. I don’t understand why it is called a peeling solution because you don’t see bits of dead skin being removed. My skin did get a few dry patches after the first few uses but nothing a moisturiser didn’t sort and soon stopped after a few uses.

This product is for people with perfect skin that want to maintain that perfect skin. I have mild ance and it just made me skin sore, stained my face and made me so over sensitive when i dont have sensitive skin. Will not buy again

This product is really weird in my opinion. It looks innocuous in its plain packaging with it's cute little dropper, but once you use it on your cleansed (and fully dry!) face, this liquid dabbed over your skin whilst you are waiting to wash it off makes you look like freddy krueger. It's quite a sight! I'm a bit naughty because it says not to use on irritated skin - I usually think of my skin as not being sensitive despite the redness I have on my chin (Don't laugh ladies, but I have to tweezer, a lot, and it makes my chin red and sometimes spotty); products never affect it. This really stings. It stings within seconds of putting it on my forehead and there's no sensitivity there - I assume it's normal given everyone else's reviews, but ow! It isn't unbearable of course (no pain, no gain afterall!), but it isn't an enjoyable sensation. When I wash it off after the maximum ten minutes, I always worry that my face is going to be an angry red colour and irritated. It feels like it should be, and yet it never is. It's bizarre how effective it is. My chin is usually bumpy, and on using this, the surface feels smooth and my whole face feels soft. I get very few spots on my chin now, and the redness is so much better, but this could also be in part to other products I have started using. You are only supposed to use this acid peel twice a week; in honesty I probably use it less than that - once a week maybe. I can actually look in the mirror and see when my face could do with brightening and smoothing, and the result is immediate. I've never tried anything like this before but I am so impressed (and relieved that I'm not the only one that feels the stinging!). Just remember to moisturise afterward, otherwise your skin will probably feel quite dry. And, as always, The Ordinary are cruelty free. Love them.

I’be heard such great things about The Ordinary products and at such great value, I had to try something - I ordered this because I’d read it was great for oily skin, blemishes etc. I’ve been using it about twice a week for a month now and the changes in my skin are incredible! It has really minimised my pores and given me more of an even tone, I also rarely get big spots anymore and I have noticed a lot less blackheads around my nose. The little bottle lasts a long time as it doesn’t take much to cover a face, I’m only about half way through mine. It does sting quite a lot for me, I’m not sure if it’s because my skin is quite over sensitive but sometimes it can be quite uncomfortable but this only lasts a minute or so. It leaves my skin looking quite flushed after too so I only use it at night but by the morning my skin is glowing. It’s an amazing product and I’m definitely going to try more from this brand!

I am obsessed with acids and this one has one of the highest acid concentrations found in over the counter products. This is great for users who have experience using acids for exfoliating their skin. I religiously use this every week, sometimes twice a week if my skin is particularly acting up. I ensure to keep it on only for ten minutes. It stings a bit, but nothing unbearable. It is a must to use a moisturizer after using this. This leaves my skin really soft and glowing, and brightens up my complexion immediately. I love the morning after using this as my skin is perfect and my makeup goes on really well. I have noticed that my acne scars and pigmentation have lightened over time by using this. It helps regulate the oil production of my skin as well, it's a complete treatment for oily acne prone skin in one product! This helped my skin absorb the other products I use after this much better and I've noticed I need to use lesser quantity of products than before. This is an absolute holy grail product for me and I would continue to use this for a long time. People with sensitive skin should probably carry out a patch test before using this.

i absolutely love this one. I use it once or twice a week, leave it on for 10minutes then wash it off. Gives abit of a tingle at start but goes away fast. Once washed away leaves my skin sooo smooth and refreshing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I use this religiously once a week to keep my skin smooth and soft. I prefer to use a flat brush to apply it as it does get a little messy! It does tingle whilst on, but is not uncomfortable and I run a timer to ensure that it is not on longer than 10 minutes to prevent any adverse reaction. I find it helps to use a very hydrating and soothing moisturiser following this as it can leave my skin on the dry side following use. I wouldn’t recommend for very sensitive skin.

Tried out the The Ordinary Chemical Skin Peel last night, definitely a winner! Woke up this morning and skin feels soft, plump and renewed 😊 It does sting a bit during the 10 minutes but it's not unbearable.
