I bought this because it's cool-toned so should work with my fair skin. Although the matte finish leaves a velvety look and the lighter powder an ideal non-shine highlight, the contour blush is far too much like a blush than contour powder; it has a pinkier undertone than the photo implies and isn't very pigmented. I found the colour hard to creating that iconic shadow effect
Amazing value for money. They have a creamy and thick texture like MAC lip pencils, but for a fraction of the price. Some cheap liners feel like a normal sharp pencil dragging over your skin with no colour pay-off. This is the opposite. I love the convenient sharpener as well. My only wish is for a wider variety of colours to match a wide variety of lipsticks!
Of all my lipstick brands, Bobbi Brown have the most comfortable feel on the lips. These lipsticks are so creamy and silky; they glide onto the lips. I've found that even the lighter shades have better staying power than many other brands. I can't wait to try more shades!
The packaging is so luxurious and rather unique, making it feel as though the £26 was money well spent. More importantly, the lipsticks are very pigmented with great staying powder! Chanel have such a beautiful range of sophisticated colours. Personally I love the darker shades. They're bold and long-lasting while also very comfortable on the lips.
Beautiful colours, attractive packaging and a creamy feel on the lips. For that reason I do and will continue to buy Dior lipsticks. However, they severely lack staying powder! My Dior nude shades in particular are my worst lasting nudes from any brand. Don't wear them if you can't reapply or will be eating something right away, as then application would be a waste of time.
MAC have the most extensive range of lipstick colours I've ever come across. Whatever you want is there, and there's a range of finishes as well. They smell divine and most are long-lasting; the mattes last all day, despite eating and drinking. I don't find them drying either. I also love the shape; pointed lipsticks are easier to apply than rounded ones. This brand is a keeper!
The colours in MUA palettes are beautiful and great looking dupes for the Naked palettes by Urban Decay, at a fraction of the price. I don't regret buying this as my first daily (and evening as well) palette, because I had a budget and didn't want to spend much on trying eyeshadow out. I wouldn't buy again because the colours are very unpigmented on the skin and fade away so much
