I bought this in 'ops I pink it again' and I love it! Love the consistency, love the colour, love the staying power. It's a strange application, sort of a powder based in the lid that applies with a sponge. I'm not usually a fan of matte lipsticks as I find them quite drying, thick and heavy... but this isn't, it feels absolutely light and weightless. Thumbs up!
I got woo'ed by the fancy packaging. A mirror on the side of the prism shaped tube which looks fancy pants. Unfortunately the mascara doesn't live up to the packaging (no surprise there!). Don't get me wrong its an 'ok' mascara, nice and black, no flaking but the plastic brush is so soft it just bends as you apply, I feel I need something stiffer to comb through my lashes.
I love these, and own several of the colours. They last the day and are perfect line or as a base to powder eye shadow. If your bending them you have to work quick before they set. My current favourite is 'cream de rose' its a matte nude with a slightly pink tone... for a barly there look, I then just use my regular bronzer to contour my eye a little.
For someone who is rubbish at eyeliner, I finally found the answer in a similar 'gel pen' higher end product. This pen is basically identical at a fraction of the price. Easy to apply, long lasting, I actually use this on my tight/water lines and it stays put throughout the day. Removes easily with coconut oil I see no 'benefit' in paying out more for a fancier brand.
I have the white version of this (the one that looks like talc) do not be put off by this. I need to powder for a 12hr working day, and this does the job of keeping my shine at bay. 100% pure silica with no nasties, no break outs and no cakiness. I can imagin there might be an issue with camera flash back, but for daily use (if you make sure you blend properly) it's fantastic.
Bought this on a whim and I like it! I've used a similar product by soap and glory in the past, so knew what to expect. It's quite a subtle tint on my lips so good for a 'no makeup' look. I like to put my index finger over top of bottle, tip it upsidedown, then spread what's on my finger between both index fingers and tap it onto apples of my cheeks and build it like that.
I've tried alot of eyeliners trying to master a thin winged eye, but always end up looking like Winehouse! With this I think I've cracked it!! I went for the aubergine colour so it isn't to harsh for my skin tone and will be going back for the green one. I like to wipe the excess onto a brush and use that to smudge a bit along my lower lash line.
A pale 'whitish' highlighter good for paler skintones. I like this product and it compliments my fair complextion in a beautiful subtle way. Like others have said it doesn't blend particularly well, but there are other ways. I put a blob on the back of my hand and let it go slightly tacky before applying by tapping it on to the highs of my face (I do not rub or use the brush)
Was given this as a gift from glamgeek. Although powder blush arn't my thing, the colours are beautiful. The pinks are the perfect for my pale complexion and they are nicely pigmented. They are sold as a contouring sculpt blush, I'm not sure how you would contour with a shimmery pink shade but as simple blusher (used individually or mixed together) it great.
Fantastic moisturiser/serum for troubled acne probe skin. When used in conjunction with the effaclar 3 step process this cleared up my hormonal acne brilliantly. Will return to these products if/when my acne returns.
