I bought a rose gold one of these on offer on Beauty Bay and it has been my most used eyeshadow since. The nib is the perfect size, small enough to be able to apply quickly but not too big that it isn’t precise. I cover my whole lid to just above the crease and then blend using my Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow brush from the palette. It blends perfectly and stays put all day. So quick and versatile, it’s my go to eyeshadow look. I just add eyeliner to make it more glam.
I am always searching for a good all round mascara and never seem to choose the right ones. You never can tell, even going off brush and price (high end vs. drugstore). So I asked my bf to choose one and this was his pick. I was very underwhelmed. I remember that I ended up throwing it away and reverting back to my trusty old favourite, Max Factor False Lash Effect. I barely remember what this mascara was like, nothing stands out (positive or negative). All in all not very memorable!
I bought this in the Allure shades because some of the colours were so unusual. The shadows are super pigmented but the fall out is horrendous, especially with the mattes. I don’t think the ridged design on the shadows helps with this either. I didn’t find myself reaching for the palette as I found the colours too varied to create one look.
I had heard good things about this mascara but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. It is very, very black. Probably the most black mascara I have used. The brush is plastic and thin. I just don’t really like the application. It just seems to sit on top of the lashes and clump them together. Not great.
Wow, wow, wow! Now I will start by saying I love the original Dr. Paw Paw balm so I was going in with high expectations. I was really excited to try this and not disappointed at all. The scrub in the top is the perfect consistency to use as a scrub. I have issues with scrubs that fall apart and don’t stick to the lips when applied but this is the perfect consistency. The scrub seems more fine than traditional sugar scrubs and it is densely packed with the most beautiful tropical scented flavoured balm. The bottom part of the has the original balm but when in a pot and applied to the lips withmore... a brush rather than my fingers it seems much thicker and even more nourishing! I don’t necessarily have dry lips but they are very dehydrated and this makes them feel so plump and nourished! Buy this now, you won’t regret it!
This dry shampoo is more of a luxury than your regular dry shampoos. The scent and packaging are beautiful and definitely more high end. However it doesn’t act like a normal dry shampoo. When you initially spray it into the hair there is no initial payoff. Not even the usual ‘talc powder’ look. I have worked out that this dry shampoo is best applied in the evening before bed when you know it might be a struggle to get up and wash your hair in the morning. I find if you apply it like this, your hair just gets better and better meaning you can leave it even another 2 days before washing.
I have tried various glycolic acid toners with varying successes. I tried the M&S one which was a disaster. It was irritating and harsh. The Pixi toner is lovely but expensive and quite fragranced. Then I found the Superdrug Naturally Radiant one which is even better than Pixi but you can only get a small bottle. Next was Mario Badescu which was nice but a bit stingy. Now I’ll get to the point - The Ordinary toner is my fave of all the glycolic acid toners I have used. It has all of the usually benefits of a glycolic acid toner and then some. It is a higher % active than all the others I havemore... tried but it is quite gentle on the skin. It smells very fresh and you can get a big bottle for only £6.80. The dispenser is nice too, because it limits the amount of product dispensed which prevents accidental wastage. Bonus!
This cleanser is an absolute dupe for the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. It feels the same and smells almost identical but it’s £3.99 compared to £27 for the same amount from Liz Earle. The scent is slightly more eucalyptus like with the Aldi version which I actually prefer. It removes all traces of make up without irritation. I use this and then a foaming cleanser to double cleanse. It is so luxurious, soothing and spa like! I love it. Aldi only get this in sporadically so I bulk buy. Currently have 6 in the cupboard. I would go as far to say this is my favourite product more...ever. Such good value for money and absolutely gorgeous! I am currently trying the Vitamin C version but so far it doesn’t come close to the original. It smells nice, like peaches but it doesn’t take makeup off as well and the cloth is more synthetic and scratchy.
I did not enjoy this scrub at all. The exfoliating particles are too fine to have an effect and the packaging, colour (minty green) and scent (peppermint) make it feel like I am rubbing toothpaste on my face
I absolutely adore this primer, it is the best primer I have ever used. I don’t think I can give it a better review than that! It comes in the cutest pot with a little spatula so you don’t have to use your fingers. The texture is so unusual, it is runny but when you take some out of the pot it is kind of like a set custard. A little goes a long way and makeup application is flawless on top as well as lasting really well. One thing to note however is that it is quite heavily fragranced (somewhere between Turkish delight and rose floral) so if you don’t like fragranced products you won’t like thmore...is.
