I have so many of these now from over the years! I first tried the strawberry one which smelt heavenly, it it quite heavy at first but fast absorbing and left my skin so smooth and hydrated and obviously smelling gorgeous. I don’t use it everyday because it’s a little too heavy for that in my eyes but when I feel like pampering myself this is always used, it feels so soothing on skin which is rare for me as I find a lot of scented products irritate my skin. The Body Shop have so many different scents now too - the cocoa butter ( or shea butter ) one, the strawberry and coconut are my favouritemore...s but they all smell so unique and lovely! Would definitely recommend not just as a scented body moisturiser but for dry skin too.
I don’t often include primers in my makeup routine because I always thought they wouldn’t do much and if I’m being honest I could never be bothered to have another step in my routine! I like they way they’ve done the dropper bottle so you can apply it straight to skin and get the amount you desire - it is a little bit tricky to get the product out, I find squeezing the top doesn’t get much out at once. A little bit goes a long way, a few drops covered most of my face and it left my skin looking a little rosy and glowy which I loved. If I had amazing skin I would probably just use this and skipmore... foundation! Anyway, my foundation applied much more smoothly and I feel it looked much more healthy, it didn’t prevent me looking oily though so I’d say it would be better for people with normal/dry skin. Overall I loved it, thank you so much @GlamGeekClaire - you’ve introduced me to primers!
I have tried so many different powders to try and set my foundation as my skin gets really oily by the end of the day. There aren’t many powders that have helped this problem and often my foundation has gone quite patchy after about 6/7 hours, especially around my T zone. This powder is great and at a really good price! My skin doesn’t really look oily at all when I use this and it makes my foundation look matte without making it seem cakey or looking too much - it has a really natural, everyday look but still manages to keep my oily skin at bay. It’s so affordable too that it’s really worth imore...t, the only thing is my foundation still creases around my eyes when I use this but I’ve never found a powder that properly stops this from happening, maybe it’s just me! So I would definitely recommend this.
I thought this would be really effective as I always wake up with quite oily skin and the body shop products are usually really good - the tea tree range has really helped my skin in the past. I put this on in the evening as a part of my night time routine, it had quite a nice smell and was refreshing to the skin, my skin also absorbed it really quickly which was great but when I woke up my face was just as oily and it didn’t prevent me from getting any spots. I kept using it as I know sometimes beauty products don’t work straight away but I’ve seen not seen any results after using almost the more...whole bottle so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this!
I have a UV dryer and gel set but I like to give my nails a break from time to time but I can’t stand waiting an hour for normal polish to dry so I don’t use any nail polish that isn’t quick dry. These are my absolute favourite - they’re cheap, come in so many lovely colours and the brush makes it really easy to apply without getting any round the edges or looking uneven. It lasts an average amount, I’d say at least 4/5 days without chipping, but considering the price that’s not bad at all. It’s easy to remove with nail polish remover too so you don’t have to scrub at your nail or anything. Abmore...solute favourite!
I wear this perfume all the time! It’s perfect for everyday wear because it’s very light and not overpowering - it smells gorgeous. It has a very floral, elegant scent but it’s not as strong as other Chanel perfumes. I do have to carry it with me or have another perfume when I’m out though because it fades quite quickly which, obviously for the price, isn’t great but I’m not sure if that’s because I get used to the smell or not. Love the floral scent though - definitely my favourite Chanel perfume so far.
These lipsticks are really affordable and come in a wide range of lovely shades so I bought 3 at once - a light pink, a deeper pink and a dark red. The shape of the lipstick itself makes it really awkward to apply, it has a really pointed tip that kind of curves back over on itself, I know that’s a really bad description but it applies really messily and it’s hard to be precise. The colours look lovely on and have a nice shine so don’t make lips look cracked or dry but I found, even after blotting my lips, it transferred to my chin almost immediately. I couldn’t eat or even drink anything withmore...out it smudging and once it smudged it was very hard to fix - especially with the dark red. The pale pink wasn’t so bad but that’s only because you couldn’t really see it as much. I wouldn’t wear them again out of fear it will smudge while I’m out and I’ll look like some kind of clown!
I use this when I was doing my makeup at my friends as I forgot my Urban Decay spray and I was interested to see if this would give good results because it’s a lot more affordable. When I sprayed it it felt like it came out too powerfully and it was so heavy my face was almost a bit drenched, it sunk in though and I thought it looked okay but it didn’t give me any glow or make my skin look dewy. A few hours later, when I checked my makeup, it was starting to come off, especially around my T zone. I also looked really oily so it hadn’t helped to keep my skin matte which is what I need in a spramore...y. Maybe this would be better for people with dry skin as it was so heavy but I’m definitely sticking with my All Nighter setting spray!
I love all Dove products - I have very dry skin on my body and it’s easily irritated so it’s hard to find washes and creams that don’t make my skin worse. This body wash must be so gentle because it makes my skin soft and smooth and really helps to combat my dry skin. I only use a little bit each time but it goes a long way because it lathers a lot, and I can feel the difference as soon as I’ve washed it off - my skin feels so much smoother. It also smells lovely, I’d describe it as a sweet vanilla scent which, again, often scented creams and washes irritate my skin but this doesn’t at all! Comore...uldn’t recommend it enough for those with sensitive or dry skin.
For £1 I didn’t expect much from these nail lacquers but I found them so easy to apply - the brush is a nice size and it goes on very evenly. The consistency is good too, I find it difficult to apply thick nail varnishes but it’s not overly thin and runny. They dry fairly quickly too, I’d say after 20 minutes I could do anything without them smudging and they last an average amount of time, maybe about 4 days without chipping but for the price I think they’re great! They have such a wide shade range too, I saw so many lovely colours in the shop so I will definitely be buying more!
