I received a sample of this perfume to try out. Fragrance is always a tricky one to tackle but here we go. L'interdit is quite a bit heavier than what I usually wear, so it was fun to try out something different. Without looking at the notes, I'd say it's quite a musky perfume with a definite tang of grape to it. Personally, I did find the slight masculine tone and heaviness a little too much and thought that turning down the feminine undertones would make it a lovely male aftershave. However, it's super subjective with fragrance. If you like grape soda, you'll love this anyway!
I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this to try out. It comes in a simplistic clean black box but the real wow comes from the tube. It's seriously luxurious! I don't think I've seen more beautiful packaging of a product. It's black studded and the top "locks" closed, sealing it fully. The formula is lovely and has a natural finish, making the lashes feel "real" and light, not heavy or tacky. This product only really falls down on it's brush. I prefer the flexibility of rubber and find brushes that are like, well...brushes...clump up my lashes. Sure enough, this didn't do a lot to separatmore...e or lengthen but did give a nice flutter. Not the best mascara I've ever tried, but certainly not the worst!
So I decided to try this after hearing that it was a dupe for my favourite mascara - Benefit, They're Real. Everything I read said they were the same, even pictures side-by-side looked the same. What could go wrong for £3 right? The packaging and brush us super similar, but that's where it ends. The brush is stiffer and the formula dries almost instantly, giving no time to "work" the lashes. (I need to be able to work it, girl!) This is also the first mascara I've ever experienced flaking with. This is the worst mascara I've ever used! The only plus is it came off ridiculously easily.
This stuff is horrible! It's a really solid half ball shape in an admittedly cute pot. However, it may look great when you rub your finger into it, but there's zero pigmentation when it goes on your face. It also has the most hideous fake sweet smell. Yuck! I couldn't wait to take it off. For £6, don't even bother, there's no payoff. Back to high-end for me...
This is my favourite of the range of sweet treat body washes. It smells lovely, and makes me feel clean and pampered. It lathers up so well and costs only £1! I tend to mix up and try out others in the range, but keep this as a staple. Please, never stop making this!
I love this palette! I've wanted a Too Faced palette for so so long, and was lucky enough to get one in a beauty box. This is beautiful, with shades in brown, pink and green. The shadows are all pigmented but the highlighting shadow is super pigmented! The colours blend really well and are complimentary, so you can mix them up a bit. I've knocked one star off for the major glitter fallout but this makes me feel soooo feminine, it's worth it.
This is probably my favourite primer. It's a cute peachy colour but goes onto the skin clear and makes my skin feel silky like Smashbox's best seller. I wouldn't say pores are an issue for me and this didn't do a lot, but it did do more than others to make them look smaller. My makeup stayed smooth for hours with this so it's great for longevity. I've knocked a star off for the price, I think I'd look around for discounts rather than pay £27! But this is a primer I'd recommend and can see why it's a best seller.
I've been trying out all of my primers to get a good comparison. This is one of the first I ever used and was drawn to it by the quick spray application. It is very quick to apply and soaks in fast. It leaves the skin slightly tacky, which I don't mind - it's all about the longevity question. As a primer, this didn't stand up to Smashbox's best seller or Benefit's porefessional. After a few hours, the rouge of my cheeks was coming through my foundation. I can't attest to it's finishing spray powers - a plus point is this is a 2 in 1 - but as a primer, I wouldn't recommend it over others.
