I have wanted this for ages but never purchased it because I didn't believe the hype. I got it in a box set this week and have tried it on a few spots. All of them reduced by at least 50% by the morning. I am seriously impressed.
The downside (as it says on the bottle) is it leaves your skin dry like paper. I needed to add a really rich moisturiser this morning. Additionally the smell is really strong and not in a good way! :(
But, if anything helps with my spots, its gets 5 stars!
I tried a sample of this and it was far too rich and oily. It wouldn't blend well on my skin, I tried with a buffing brush and I could see the streaks. It was also so oily and rich. I felt it was just sat on top of my skin like a really oily foundation :(
I am disappointed because I was hoping this would be a great alternative to foundation. I can see this product working well for dry, normal, and mature skin though.
I really like this. It does what it claims. It comes in a small pot and it needs to be applied with a small brush. I then dab it in gently with my finger or a beauty sponge. It covers virtually everything, apart from a very red patch I have on my cheek. I don’t think anything would cover this entirely. The IT cream though does help take the edge off it. I also use this redness cream as an under eye concealer because it is very thick. It is beige so not good for fair skinned girls at all.
I bought this as the pump top makes it really easy to apply to a cotton pad. However I didn't realise it had to be shaken up every time to mix the charcoal and the water. If you don't shut the lid properly, you will get splashed with the product!
The micellar water itself is ok, no smell which I didn't really like. I also was told by a dermatologist that charcoal doesn't really do much for the skin so I feel like this product is maybe just a gimmick. This product is just ok...
I tried this on in boots about 5 years ago and was shocked at the thickness/coverage of this body foundation. I knew it was meant for the body but I had such bad acne I thought "this will covered up any annoying spot", and it really did. Its nice to use on top of say a BB cream, and only apply it on red patches. It is super thick (like theatre make up) so it would not be a good idea to use all over the face. But as a spot concealer, its magic! I wouldn't buy it again at the moment as I don't have many spots anymore. But say if I had a party etc and I needed a last minute fix for hiding my acnemore..., I would use this again.
I recommend this to any bushy, unruly, dark eyebrow people like me! It doesn't add fibres which is what I want, but it sets the brows nicely into place. The liquid isn't too thick but adds a hint of colour. Brush is a good size as well. This brow gel just helps speed up my brow process in the morning. It also helps my eyebrows stay set all day.
I got this liquid highlighter free in a set. I am not much of a highlighter person, and I especially don't like liquid ones. But this bare minerals one is really pretty good. I've used it a few times on top of foundation that has been set with powder and applied it with a beauty sponge. It blends out evenly along the cheek bones, dries down matte after a minute or so, and also... it doesn't remove my foundation when it's being applied! (like a lot of liquid highlighters do).
It is also a stunning shade, a light, natural gold. It is really very pretty.
My family have used this shampoo for YEARS. They swear by it.
I am basically writing this review on their behalf. My mum and sister both have fine, silky, straight hair and they tell me that this just works really well for them. My sister also has a sensitive scalp and she says that this doesn't irritate it or make it itchy.
Personally I don't use this shampoo as my hair is the complete opposite of my families, but I can appreciate that this really works for them.
I switch between this one and the Sally Hansen quick dry top coat.
They are both very different. This one it thinner, dries a little bit quicker but is not as chip resistant as the Sally Hansen one.
I've used this top coat since it was launched and I have never not had it in my nail varnish box. I think I am on maybe my 7th bottle now! It is a must have for avid nail painters like I am.
As I am typing this, it is currently on my nails! :D
Bought this as I love the hair conditioner and I was hoping this would help detangle my hair whilst making it feel silky... but it didn't. I haven't noticed any difference in my hair. A bit of a shame really.
On the plus side it does smell really good. I do have knotty, frizzy, thick hair so perhaps its just not powerful enough for me.
