I bought the trio of these because the original Nipple Balm is my holy grail, but something with this formula gave me an allergic reaction! On application, my lips began to sting and once it had been on for a few hours my lips became dry and flaky. I had this issue with all three of the shades (Elderberry, Red Radish and Sweet potato) and have since passed them on to friends/family who don't have any sensitivity. I had a really bad reaction to the Carmex Pineapple and Mint lip balm- if you have any issues with that then it'll probably be best to pass on this one too.
In terms of colour, it was very sheer, to the point where I couldn't tell much of a difference. It is a very thick and quite sticky formula, but it does last for ages. I would recommend the original Nipple Balm over this to everyone

I am in my late teens/early 20's with acne/problem, fair tone skin and hazel eyes. My hair is blonde, oily with fine texture.
I've been fortunate enough to be able to try Dr. Lipp Balm in a sample size. Here are my thoughts:
Texture - thick and emollient, therefore you only need a tiny bit which will take you far. This makes it excellent value for money.
Effectiveness - due to the potency of the product it is highly nourishing and moisturising.
Longevity - as with any lip product you do need to top up however you can comfortably go a couple of hours with a single application.
This is brilliant for chapped and sore lips but also makes for a lovely lip base coat before applying your chosen lipstick/gloss. I particularly recommend using this before applying matte liquid lipsticks which have a tendency to dry out and leave the lips burning otherwise.
This is a good all year round product but particularly great for the autumn/winter season.
I'm currently working my way through the sample size and don't see myself finishing it quickly but definitely one for future repurchase. Thank you Dr. Lipp.
