I’ve always been a huge nail polish lover and these ones have the best staying power!
The brush is flat which makes application so easy using the 3 stripe technique, one down the middle and one each side plus the colours are gorgeous and only need 2 coats for that perfect colour and finish.
I usually have 3-4 days before the dreaded chipping starts but I’ve noticed it’s only small chips at the edge of my nail.
They don’t dry my nails at all plus are easy to remove without getting polish all over my fingers or toes, even with the dark vampy colours!
Also I’ve noticed the bottles are smashproof, I’ve dropped them loads of times and not one has broken so that’s another good thing!
As they bring a new range of colors out every season, the only problem I have is choosing a colour 😉

I’m a big nail polish wearer. I do get gels/acrylics but tend to only have for special occasions. (Or if I’ve a reason for having them done)
I picked these up boots on a 3 for 2. The gorgeous colours caught my eye first.
I’d be a regular nail polish wearer once I’d paint them once a week.
I was really impressed with how 5 days later of the polish being on. I’d full coverage of colour on the nail still. Now I’d been washing dishes, cleaning and clearing out and being very hands on around the house. This is a massive testament in itself. (Id be guilty of not wearing rubber gloves when doing stuff like cleaning etc) Definitely will buy more shades

While obviously not as good as Gel polishes, Essie nail polishes are still the best I have ever used!! Some shades are more long lasting than others (such as the reds and pinks), but overall last a lot longer than most other brands. The colour range is great and my nails are never left dry from Essie polishes. They create a nice shine even without a top coat and I can’t imagine ever not using Essie!

I am a big OPI fan. I find the brush easier to use on OPI polish but Essie comes a close second.
My favourite Essie colour is Angora Cardi and I’m on my second bottle. Please Essie don’t discontinue this colour. I also own With The Band, On The Bright Cider and Playing Koi.
I have had some Essie colours that I didn’t like and have given away - Fiji (this formula was horrible- this managed to look like Tippex on my nails yet my daughter loves it), a vampy one that I got as GWP (it was cream formula- I like my vampy colours to have shimmer) and I got one called Designated DJ in a beauty subscription box. Didn’t like the colour.

I am in my late 40's/early 50's with combination, medium tone skin and unknown eyes. My hair is unknown, unknown with unknown texture.
So, I have a lot of different branded and non branded nail varnish and a lot of them aren’t the best a lot of them chip, not easy to apply and have the wrong brush. I came across Essie a few years ago and I’ve now got a little collection going on.
They have so many colours and styles, they also have a gel collection which I have for my acrylic nail set and they are so good! Deep colours that only need one coat if applied properly! Lasts ages aswell and doesn’t chip.
100% recommend this brand of nail varnish.

Apply welly smoothly and don’t chip too easily. I genuinely find gel polishes to be much harder wearing so only use normal nail polish for one or 2 days

I recently took advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 offer and bought three of the new shades from the Essie Fall 2018 collection. They are such gorgeous colours, perfect for Autumn. BUT I can't really give 5 stars as there does seem to be some discrepancy in how the polishes apply. The cream shades apply really well and you could possibly get away with one coat. But the metallic shade is not great - very streaky and watery, it takes a lot of work and care to get a passable coverage. It's a shame that Essie nail polishes are not consistent as they have the best shades. And, when they're good - they're really, really good!

Absolutely love the colour range! Polish goes on lovely, 2 coats is definitely needed with the lighter colours. Looks perfect after a 2nd coat. Always top with a brilliant top coat and lasts a week no problem without reapplying! Will buy again. If you have one for a while it doesn't go funny either. The Only downside is the brush, could do with a better applicator to make it easier to apply.

Love how long lasting this is - got this in Disco doll in the advent calender. It's so sparkly and pretty, it applies well and dries fast. And it takes a lot to do any damage..which leads me to the one problem. Cotton wool pads are just shredded up by this! It took a lot of cotton wool absolutely soaked in nail varnish remover to get this off! I had to treat them a bit like gels-soak the cotton wool and leave it on the nail for a few minutes before trying to wipe off! It is, however, one of the most long lasting glitter varnishes I've tried.

I have had two different experiences with 2 different shades, i had a cream shade and it was awful to apply. Very streaky and just looked nasty. However i have a red one and its fantastic and applies beautifully and only needs 2 coats its long lasting and gives a really pretty mani. So i will only buy the darker shades and stay away from the neutral shades. But i have seen professionals get a flawless application.
